Interpretation is, in our view, an underdeveloped topic within classical and contemporary composition. This is especially true in the educational system, where interpretation does not even exist as an independent subject, and in broader discourse, including literature, public communication, and social media, where interpretation is typically assessed based on adherence to conventions rather than as an artistic activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The purpose of this project is therefore a more general investigation of interpretation in order to map out some of the topics it involves, as well as to investigate them through experiments. Our main aim was not to delve deeply into each topic but to create an overview that can serve as a stepping stone for future investigation and, more importantly, as inspiration for other musicians within this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
